Richard A. Schmitz

Richard A. Schmitz, 73, of Mt. Prospect, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 3^rd, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center.

Richard was born July 8, 1942 in Chicago to parents Andrew and Wilomena Schmitz.

Richard was the beloved husband of Joanne for 50 years.  The loving father of David (Roseann), Daniel (Susan), Douglas (Susan), Mary Jo, and Dwight Schmitz.  The proud grandfather of Devin, Connor, Kaila, Ryan, Patrick Schmitz.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 8, from 3-9 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., (at Northwest Hghwy) Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.  Lying in state Wednesday at 9 AM until Mass at 10 AM, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 700 S. Meier Rd, Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. Father Michael Olivero will officiate the mass.
